In the night’s main event, John Cena was up against Chris Jericho. Randy Orton before his match against John Cena at Summer Slam, wanted to send message to John Cena. He came to the ring and attacked Cena resulted in Jericho’s disqualification.
Next week Cena will team up with Randy Orton to take on Unified Tag Team Champions Big Show and Chris Jericho.

Lumberjack Match : John Cena defeated The Miz
Cena was up against The Miz who was under the clouds of being banned from Summerslam and Monday night Raw. After a roller coaster. Cena pinned Miz to register a win.

WWE Champion Randy Orton defeated Triple H and John Cena
In the triple threat match, WWE Champion was up against his old rivals Triple H and John Cena. Once again the match was interrupted by Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase. When Cena picked up Rhodes upon his shoulders the champion executed his RKO move on Cena and covered him for a pin-count.

Beat the Clock Match : John Cena defeated The Miz
Despite of Miz’s assurance to the audience that he would prevent Cena from being the no.1 contender for WWE Championship at summerslam, the Miz failed to avoid the STF of Cena and allowed Cena to be the no.1 contender. John Cena will now face Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at Summerslam.

John Cena and Triple H defeated WWE Champion Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase
Both the tag teams were looking for the win as the win from here will give huge momentum going into the “Night of Champions”. Randy Orton knew that he could not take Cena and HHH lightly. But John Cena scored the quick pin on The Viper to register a win before going into the “Night of Champions”.
